It can be served with any sauce and even as it is in salads, check the basic recipes in the book and follow the instructions for more details.
For more details, check the basic recipes in the book and follow the instructions. Learn to use our basic recipes, and then you can grill, roast, broil, bake or poach any of your fresh meat, poultry or fish. Then you need only to preheat it up (warm it up).
It is very easy to follow those recipes & make some extra portions (an instant of those you may need) to use
No. 2: Create Your Own Salad
Main dish salads are the perfect summer supper, cool, light, easy, fast, smart choice & healthy. Salad greens are the base ingredient, and that’s easy: open a bag of salad greens, spinach leaves, or simple salad heads (isber, lettuce), wash them properly, and pour them into a bowl.
Then throw in the rest of the ingredients and toss. Use some of our dressings (vinaigrette, tahini or yoghurt based) and combine them with some reduced-fat cheese, grated parmesan, crumbled blue cheese, vegetables you may have in your fridge or any you like & make your combinations.
All the legume family is some excellent choice (cooked or canned), dried fruits, nuts, shrimp, chicken or meat (you already have leftovers), smoked or gravad salmon or follow your taste & imagination. Bulgur, cous – cous or the amazing quinoa can also be a great choice to mix and enjoy, and the last one is a natural protein source too.
No. 3: Soups
Vegetable soups or with meat, chicken, fish and even leftovers are a great choice. Even simple made soups with a creamy consistency, without restrictions on special ingredients, just taken out of a blender and accompanied by everyone's imagination and creation.
Soups are the easiest thing to show off in the kitchen. See and be inspired by the recipes in the book so that you can understand their creation's simplicity.
All soups have a base, which is called stock. The rest is imagination and taste. Soups are ideal evening dishes because they do not burden the stomach with their digestion and are nutritious and tasty. The best dinners in between Monday and Friday.
No. 4: Pies It may sound complicate but it is not!
Use a pie form and mix any meat you have left over with some vegetables, even cooked leftovers or fresh. Beat an egg or two, combine everything, and bake until set....done.
Leftover boiled potatoes, diced or pressed, mix with eggs, vegetables, and grated cheese of your choice and bake, you create a potato pie and serve it with just a salad.
Leftover minced meat from lasagne, Bolognese or tacos, mix with vegetables and eggs and bake. Garnish with some grated cheese to melt and serve it with salad. . . .easy, right?
No. 5: Make It Vegetarian
A vegetarian choice is alright, and you still can receive your protein intake with the right combinations, and by the way, it's a great healthy choice.
I'm going to introduce you to some of my legume dishes based on the old Mediterranean traditional recipes with new cooking techniques avoiding saturated fat & enjoying fresh oils & light seasoning.
Vegetable, legume stews or baked vegetables with some extra cheese & fresh olive oil, combined with quinoa, rice or roast garlic bread, are also an excellent choice.
Egg-based entrees like Spanish omelettes, tortillas, frittata, simple farm omelettes or different vegetable stuffing.
Sandwiches with some grilled vegetables that you can easily make & store in olive oil, different cheeses (basically matured, stored), baked vegetables with some cheeses as well & so on!
Wraps with back wheat in a ceramic pan, called a galette, with an extensive choice of ingredients or leftovers to fill and enjoy without the pressure of time. Check the recipe in the book and get inspired by our stuff but leave your imagination and follow our extra tips, and success is guaranteed.
No. 6: Heat a frozen dish
You can easily pack the leftovers you have in a takeaway or with a vacuum cleaner (in case you have a machine) or defrost the ready meat you already have (according to our warehouse) by leaving it from the night before in the fridge) and heat it, or last
The best solution is to cook a couple of extra portions, package them and have them in the freezer for a last-minute emergency.
Food companies in the packaged food industry are promising great-tasting frozen products with great flavours, low prices, low-fat options and even a complete vegetarian alternative. However, you must be desperate to buy one, so think about it!
If you ever feel the need, you can try using some of these products, but choose a great product that won't be as cheap and will seemingly have a better warranty.
If this choice is not made on permanent or multiple bases, you don't have to feel so guilty.
No.7: Yogurt, Quark, Cottage Cheese with Fresh Fruits
The yoghurt with fresh fruits, nuts & honey it's a classic combination. Very tasteful and balanced between dessert and a light meal. Any part of the day & occasion, but avoid it evening hours unless you have just returned from the gym and need a good protein to end your day. A casein scoop is the best choice, but in this case, it is better to be served with mixed berries and nuts but avoid the honey.
Cottage cheese, the same way or even dry fruits with nuts, but avoid the honey, you don't need that much fructose. Salads with cottage cheese can also be a great choice, especially as the day's last meal.
Quark, in some ways as above, can become more fitness choice. Just follow the previous ideas. I used to mix it with the RFD keto protein and some berries, the perfect last meal of the day!
No. 8: Use smoothie as a meal
The flexibility here is broad. You can use a fruit smoothie, mixed vegetables, or even both if the taste suits your palate.
On the other hand, if you have chicken or vegetable broth, you can clean your fridge of any leftover meat or vegetables by making a hot smoothie. Why not!
I once made a fantastic tomato soup with half a jar of tomato sauce, a few cherry tomatoes, two cloves of garlic and some parmesan cheese, how? I sauteed the cherry tomatoes with the garlic in a pan with olive oil and put them in the blender with some chicken stock and some basil from the pot on the balcony. It turned out to be an excellent hot smoothie that surprised everyone.
No. 9: Whip Up a Smart Meals
Those meals called: "take it as it comes" have become so creative & successful that sometimes they can make you feel like a "master chef". My girlfriend and daughters feel that way, and I'm thrilled to see them enjoy it most of the time.
Grilled sandwiches (you could also use a panini press) with any filling, from a classic ham & cheese to the most unusual, but prefer the big round bread where you can cut some thick slices. Enjoy authentic sourdough bread. The wild yeast culture of the bread is better excepted than any other white bread.
BLT sandwich stands for bacon-lettuce & tomato. Use chicken or turkey instant of bacon, toast the bread and slice the tomato on the top, fresh and seasoned, but remember to drizzle some olive oil.
Open sandwich, roast bread slice, with mozzarella, tomato & olive oil, chopped basil, and drops of old balsamic vinegar.
Wraps from crépes or galettes in French. Gluten-free and with egg and your imagination for filling, what else do you want? You can call it "the vacuum cleaners of the fridge". You can add anything left in the fridge, which will be delicious, easy and economical.
Omelettes, what,s more classic? Just follow our recipes & enjoy the variety. Just add a little salad to serve, and that's all.
Fried rice may sound strange but check this out! Any vegetables or meat you have left over, pour into a hot pan with a few drops of oil & sauté for a minute or, better say, "warm up" instantly & add the rice, mix it & serve it immediately. Alternatively, use the rice with some beaten eggs & vegetables, and serve. Salad can be a good idea to combine the dish.
No.10: Easy Peasy Pizza
You don't always need pizza dough as the base to make pizza. Just slice a long bread loaf (preferably sourdough) and brush the surface with some tomato sauce, cheese, ham, turkey, chicken, beef or vegetables, if you prefer, into a hot oven for 2 minutes & you are done. It is still pizza & now you can enjoy it with less regrets.
Replace the dough with grated potatoes, fry in a large pan on both sides, and create the round pizza base you want in the same way. The ingredients are always accessible and flexible, so you don't need to worry.
I used to do the pizza dough with cauliflower or zucchini, and the same thing also has an excellent taste.
